Acquire practical experience by supporting end users with Line of Business (LOB) software and maintaining IT hardware, while pursuing an IT apprenticeship qualification.

The apprenticeship includes time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills. You will attend City College Norwich (Ipswich Road) one day per week for your training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serving as the first point of contact for system users to support Line of Business (LOB) software packages and IT hardware.
  • Carry out administrative tasks across LOB software.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by users.
  • Escalate cases to 2nd Line support when necessary.
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by users to the appropriate internal team.
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.
  • Prepare system usage reports.
  • Setup and configure IT hardware.

Working Conditions

  • The role is based in our Norwich office, with regular travel to other office locations as required.
  • The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
