Responsibilities
- Act as the creative authority on story approval and development within the department.
- Mentor the creative skills of a dedicated storytelling team, ensuring strong direction and oversight.
- Evaluate, refine, and approve narrative pitches, storylines, characters, and settings.
- Maintain narrative quality across multiple projects, formats and genres.
- Foster a shared narrative culture.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in story development, narrative direction, or creative leadership (e.g. holding positions such as Showrunner, Narrative Director, Editor-in-Chief).
- History of creating and developing award-winning stories.
- Passion and deep understanding of what makes a compelling narrative across multiple genres.
- Track record of finishing scripts through a combination of providing feedback and hands-on edits.
- Portfolio demonstrates exceptional character development, with memorable casts and impactful arcs.
- An engaging communicator who can inspire confidence, enthusiasm, and shared ownership of a narrative.
