Private Client Legal Assistant / Paralegal

We are looking to recruit a Private Client Assistant/Paralegal to join our busy and well-established team in North End, Portsmouth.
This is a busy and varied role which deals with all aspects of private client work including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection Applications.
Personal Specification
Previous knowledge of Private client work
Previous experience of audio dictation typing and case management systems
IT skills to include Outlook, Word and Excel
A driving licence is preferred, but not essential
Ability to work as part of a team and to be proactive to advance matters to assist fee earners
Job Role
Typing, drafting and production of probate/power of attorney documents
Answering the telephone
Diary management
Audio typing and dictation
Onboarding new clients and carrying our relevant identification checks in line with the firms’ policies and procedures
Opening new files and archiving matters
Storing/retrieval of Wills
Photocopying and filing
Client contact and client liaison
General secretarial duties and administration for the fee earners within the department
Assistance with marketing for the department
- Working hours Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
- Company pension scheme
