Join us as our Day Activities Facilitator, where you will work alongside the Day Service Development Coordinator, two Workshop Facilitators, and support assistants to develop, deliver and grow our activities programme in line with our strategic goals, vision and values.
Main purpose of the role:
- Provide day-to-day guidance, induction, and delegation for support assistants and volunteers to ensure a safe, inclusive, and productive environment.
- Deliver practical, physical, and emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities.
- Facilitate meaningful engagement while promoting choice, independence, and self-determination.
- Enhance and innovate our activity programme to engage current participants, attract new referrals, and drive service growth.
Support of people with learning disabilities:
- Deliver high-quality activities that promote skills development, wellbeing, social inclusion, and friendship.
- Support individuals and small groups to participate in meaningful, inclusive and accessible activities.
- Provide person-centred support in line with policies and care plans, including medication support and physical assistance where required.
- Plan, deliver, and review an engaging programme of arts, crafts, music, skills-based, and interactive activities for adults with learning disabilities and autism.
