Main purpose of the role:
We are looking for a reliable and flexible driver to join our team on an ad hoc basis. The ideal candidate will be dependable, have a full, valid driving licence, and be available to work flexible hours at short notice when needed. As a driver, you will support adults with learning disabilities, our Core Members, to live their best life possible through driving them around in their vehicle. You will always have a Support Assistant in the vehicle in order to ensure that you can solely focus on driving.
If you become our driver, you will:
- Respond flexibly to enable Core Members to be able to attend appointments, attend activities, or visit places.
- Ensure that the vehicle is safe to drive.
- Report any safeguarding or adult support and protect concerns to the line manager.
