Deputy House Leader, L'Arche Manchester ABOUT THE ROLE Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, which includes 7.5 hours of admin time Salary: Β£ 27,610.61 per annum (pro rata if part-time) Place of work: Community Houses, based in Manchester Reports to: House Leader (Community Leader or Registered Manager in their absence) Contract type: Temporary contract (6 months) Closing date: Tuesday, 3rd November 2026 at 9:00 Discover what makes L'Arche a rewarding place to work - explore our employee benefits here.

Main purpose of the role: As Deputy House Leader, you will deputise for the House Leader in their absence and provide direct care and support yourself. This role involves working at different houses in our community as needed. All locations are fairly close to each other. You will ensure our support and care is not only consistent with CQC requirements but also with the values of L'Arche. A strong commitment to L'Arche values, building community and the ability to inspire others is essential.

Leadership and administration Provide regular support and supervision to team members Participate in rota writing on Sona Participate in recruitment and induction of new team members Support of people with learning disabilities Assist with the personal hygiene, dress and health needs of individuals in their home Facilitate individuals to meet their leisure, social, practical and spiritual needs Encourage individuals to in their ongoing development of independence You can find more details about L'Arche Manchester here.
