Role Overview: The Day Service Assistant supports Core Members to live self-directed, meaningful, and socially connected lives in line with the principles of New Directions, which emphasise person-centred supports, active citizenship, community inclusion, and flexible, individualised pathways. Working alongside Project Leaders and the Day Service Coordinator, the Day Service Assistant ensures that each Core Member is supported to participate fully in community life, develop personal skills, and exercise their rights and responsibilities as equal citizens.

Job Purpose: To support Core Members to design and pursue their own personal goals, aspirations, and life choices. Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with Core Members, colleagues, families, and community partners. To promote meaningful community engagement, participation, and inclusion in accordance with New Directions. To uphold the rights, dignity, autonomy, and wellbeing of Core Members at all times. To contribute to a high-quality, person-centred Day Service that reflects best practice and the ethos of L’Arche.
