Our top-tier US law firm client that values collaboration and innovation, is recruiting a knowledgeable Technology Support Specialist to join their close-knit team of three in London on an initial 4-month fixed-term contract. Salary to £50,000 + paid overtime.
4-month fixed-term contract. Monthly rotating shift pattern between 08:30am – 6:30pm. Superb employee benefits, including a £100 monthly employee contribution, free lunch every Wednesday, and more! Office based – Liverpool Street.
We’re looking for candidates with experience supporting end users across hardware, software, and general IT systems. This role will also include configuring devices such as workstations, printers, and mobile phones, and assisting with non-standard home systems and software.
Key Responsibilities:- Log all incoming incidents and requests as well as actions taken to resolve them.
- Respond to incidents and request escalations from Help Desk and provide technical assistance to end users.
- Assist in telecom phone setup using Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Unity Connection Administration to create extensions/voice mail and modify users’ phones when requested.
- Setup, dismantling and relocating users’ desks.
- Manage and maintain technology equipment inventory in asset management system.
- Ensuring all Video Conference requests are reserved accurately and changes to these are captured in accordance with the requestor’s wishes.
- Maintain strong knowledge of third-party video conference systems, including but not limited to: WebEx, Zoom, MS Teams.
- Travel to Europe/Paris office to provide on-site support to firm’s Paris-based community.
- Similar to A+, N+, CCENT or ITIL.
- 3+ years of experience, with progressive and sustained increase in knowledge and responsibility, within a law firm.
- In-depth technical background and experience with current Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Citrix, VPN, Interwoven FileSite, Innova template and other legal industry applications.
- Strong knowledge of desktop hardware and peripherals, phones, and A/V equipment (PCs, notebooks, printers, scanners, mobile phones (iOS and Android)).
- Knowledge of network and Internet technologies, protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, Ethernet), and Internet TCP/IP protocols for both wired and wireless connections.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting local external drives, local backup solutions, personal firewalls, wireless hardware (mice and keyboards) and wireless routers.
