Senior Risk & Compliance Officer

Top European Intellectual Property Firm is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Officer on a part-time basis.  This is a newly established position and will report directly to the Managing Partner of the London office.  A brilliant opportunity for someone to take ownership and responsibility for ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management across the firm.

• Salary to £60,000 (FTE)
• Part-time (3 days per week)

Senior Risk & Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the firm’s regulatory requirements, ensure compliance, and manage the relationships with external regulating bodies
• Work with several different stakeholders from different areas of the business to ensure streamlined and best practice processes are in place
• Review processes for client onboarding including AML, conflicts, and due diligence
• Handle the professional indemnity insurance – maintain detailed records, ensure compliance as well as acting as the main point of contact
• Maintain the risk register – ensure mitigations are in place and being delivered on as well as assessing any new risks
• Establish and manage standardised templates, systems, terms of business and processes
• Design and deliver risk and compliance training for all employees

Senior Risk & Compliance Officer Skills & Requirements:

• Previous experience within a dedicated Risk & Compliance role
• A strong working understanding and knowledge of risk, compliance, client onboarding and AML regulations and requirements
• Experience in IP would be advantageous
• Happy working autonomously in a busy role
