Overview
This leading Corporate city law firm is keen to hire a Senior Credit Controller to join their busy and vibrant finance team to oversee the firm’s debt management function.
Base pay range
Competitive salary 65-75k plus fantastic employee benefits to include 28 days annual leave, private medical insurance, gym discounts, etc.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for the firm regarding debt recovery and credit control matters while managing another Credit Controller.
- Review and improve existing processes and influence change across the firm in relation to outstanding debts and housekeeping.
- Lead on WIP reviews with Partners and Fee Earners, driving billing discipline and minimising lock-up.
- In cases of long-term aged debt, work closely with an external debt collection agency to monitor performance and ensure effective escalation of cases.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT
- ICM qualification or similar is preferred
- Excellent analytical and financial skills with good attention to detail both personally and for the team
- Can-do attitude, with good judgement, communication and relationship building skills, developed in a partnership environment
- Experience in legal credit control and using recognised credit management software, preferably 3E, ARCS
