Job Description

Resourcing Manager

Larbey Evans is partnering with a prestigious UK law firm to hire a Resourcing Manager on a permanent basis, to join its highly regarded wider Human Resources team in London.

  • Salary to £85,000
  • 09:30-17:30 working hours and hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)

In this role, you will take ownership of a specific practice group and act as an integral part of the team, optimising work allocation by delivering expert advice. You will proactively support Associates and Trainees in understanding their career aspirations and personal development, while also advising a range of stakeholders on strategic solutions and preventative measures.

Resourcing Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on work allocation, balancing business needs with individual career goals and wellbeing
  • Anticipate and solve complex resourcing challenges, leveraging alternative talent pools when needed
  • Build strong relationships with Associates and Trainees to align assignments with career objectives and manage capacity
  • Monitor pipeline and utilisation to ensure efficient, balanced workload distribution
  • Collaborate with partners and HR to incorporate professional aspirations into resourcing decisions
  • Apply an understanding of KPIs and balanced scorecards to drive effective, outcome-focused allocation strategies
  • Actively participate in driving the Resource Management strategy to help the firm to achieve its overall objectives

Resourcing Manager Skills & Requirements:

  • Prior experience in Resource Management, ideally within a large professional services or legal environment
  • Excellent IT skills/experience working with resource management software highly desirable
  • Skilled in analysing utilization data to inform resourcing decisions aligned with business needs and stakeholder preferences
  • Capable of presenting resourcing insights and tools to senior stakeholders
  • Experienced in building strategic relationships across all levels
  • Strong commercial and client focus
