Part-time Risk & Compliance Lawyer
One of our renowned global law firm clients is recruiting a Part-time Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join their London office on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
- Part-Time (flexible: 2 or 3 days a week)
- Hybrid working (3 office days in the office per month)
We’re seeking England & Wales qualified individuals to provide expert legal guidance on corporate matters, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled legal professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Part-time Risk & Compliance Lawyer Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts on behalf of the firm
- Work closely with the firm’s Knowledge, Management and Operations teams to review, design and maintain appropriate company precedents, practice notes, policies, and procedures
- Provide timely advice on a variety of legal and compliance topics that relate to the firm and its business services
- Communicate with third-party bodies such as external counsel and the firm’s insurers, including coordinating the annual PII and bulk practising certificate renewal applications
- Conduct legal research and analysis, keeping up to date with changes to laws, rules, and regulations that directly affect the firm
- Support the firm’s conflicts and compliance team in relation to client onboarding procedures and file reviews
Part-time Risk & Compliance Lawyer Skills & Requirements:
- Prior experience working in law firm compliance or an in-house legal position
- Proven working knowledge of contract, competition and data protection law and litigation procedure
- Strong legal drafting skills and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify, assess, and manage legal, regulatory and compliance risks affecting the business
