Exciting opportunity for a competent and proactive Legal Biller to join a leading UK law firm on an initial 12 month fixed-term contract, possibly going permanent for the right candidate upon completion of the FTC.

Salary to £55,000. Hybrid working – 2 days in the office / 3 days remote. Working hours: 09:30-17:30 (Monday-Friday). 27 days annual leave (FTE). Location: West End, London.

Due to increased workloads and departmental restructuring, this interim Legal Biller role is ideal for someone with experience operating in a busy billing team within a law firm using Elite 3E (preferred).

Reporting into the Revenue Manager, the Legal Biller will take on a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the billing process, taking ownership of tasks in actively delivering on all routine and daily requests.

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Biller:
  • Take ownership of the billing process from end-to-end in line with the firm’s policies and HMRC / SRA rules.
  • Attend monthly WIP meetings.
  • Initiate and run proformas liaising with relevant stakeholders, including edit proformas as requested.
  • Take ownership of allocated tasks and queries within the firm’s Finance inbox, handling all internal billing queries.
  • Liaise with revenue team colleagues as well as Fee Earners, Executive Assistants and Legal Secretaries to ensure the seamless execution of billing tasks.
  • Manage discussions on and coordinate specific billing arrangements for allocated practice areas.
