Job Description
Future Trainee Paralegal
Leading US law firm is recruiting a Future Trainee Paralegal to join their Leveraged Finance and Infrastructure space on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
- Salary to £45,000 and competitive benefits package on offer
- Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)
- 9:30-17:30 working hours
- Candidates must be immediately available
This role offers exposure to high-level work from day one. There is no limit to the complexity or level of tasks you may be involved in, and you will receive top-tier training designed to help you make the most of the experience. This position would be well-suited to someone who has already secured a Training Contract for August 2026 or later
Responsibilities of the Future Trainee Paralegal:
- Assist trainees, associates, and partners with tasks such as managing signings, gathering client feedback on documents, and using legal tech tools like Legatics and DocuSign
- Liaise directly with clients on signing procedures and conditions precedent
- Assist with preparing closing bibles, conformed copies and originals
- Assist with filings at Companies House and the Land Registry
- Draft documents with input from associates
- Draft, edit and maintain necessary checklists, organisational charts and spreadsheets
- Review and edit transaction documents for sense, consistency, cross reference accuracy, facts, calculations and typographical errors.
- Carry out various company registry searches and other factual research
Requirements of the Future Trainee Paralegal:
- Must have a Law Degree and Training Contract in place for August 2026 or later
- Excellent academic qualifications are essential
- Strong IT/computer skills – Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems
