Our international law firm client is seeking to hire a Risk & Compliance Officer on a permanent basis to provide support on all areas surrounding risk, regulatory compliance and conflict matters for their London office based in the beating heart of the city.

Salary to £45,000. 09:30-17:30 + hybrid working (3 days in the office / 2 days WFH). Fantastic employee benefits – including long service annual leave accrual + an additional moving day.

Key Responsibilities of the Risk & Compliance Officer:
  • Assisting in on-boarding new clients and matters and ensuring that all details are correct.
  • Conducting client due diligence, reviewing KYC documentation and undertaking AML and sanctions searches on clients.
  • Reviewing any changes to the client which may have an impact on client or matter risk.
  • Ensuring that matter information is kept accurate and up to date.
  • Assisting in the production of spreadsheets to monitor client and matter inception process status.
  • Assisting Risk Lawyers in preparation of annual internal file audits.
Skills & Requirements of the Risk & Compliance Officer:
  • Excellent academics with a Law Degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ compliance experience within a law firm is essential for this role.
  • Previous AML experience.
  • A high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
