A standout opportunity for a focused and results-driven HR Manager to join a top City law firm. This role is for maternity cover and the HR Manager is the key contact for Senior Business Services leaders in London to ensure HR is supporting their people and operational priorities. The role pro-actively delivers HR services to all eight Business Services departments in London, comprising over 600 employees. Based in Canary Wharf.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business partnering and day-to-day operations
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management of HR matters for London Business Services
  • Act as the first point of contact for Senior Business Services leaders on all HR issues, operating as a trusted HR adviser and sounding board
  • Supervise and support the HR Business Partners to lead on the day-to-day HR operations for London Business Services
  • Provide direction, expert guidance and support to Senior Business Services Leaders and Business Services Managers
  • Work with Recruitment Managers to advise of any Business Services resourcing needs
  • Lead the salary review and bonus process.

Skills & Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' HR generalist and business partnering experience with proven experience of operating at Manager or Business Partner level.
  • Able to demonstrate they have been a key decision maker in relation to complex HR issues, recommending commercial solutions and guidance in approach
  • Extensive and robust experience of running complex employee relations cases autonomously with a sound understanding of current employment legislation.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders on change management initiatives
  • Excellent understanding of talent and performance management processes
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
