HR Assistant

Elite US law firm is seeking a motivated HR Assistant to join their London HR team. This role is ideal for someone at an early stage of their HR career, who is keen to develop practical HR experience within a structured, supportive team, offering hands-on experience on a broad range of HR activities access the employee lifecycle, recruitment, payroll & benefits administration and performance review processes.

HR Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team and respond to employee queries
  • Prepare HR correspondence, documentation and reports accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate employee files, records and HR data across London and International offices
  • Coordinate meetings, room bookings and general HR administration
  • Coordinate onboarding activities including offer documentation, background checks, references, new hire paperwork and induction arrangements
  • Monitor probation periods and support leaver and exit processes
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain accurate recruitment records
  • Process and submit HR changes affecting payroll within required deadlines
  • Support benefits administration and related employee queries
  • Support annual performance evaluation and compensation processes

HR Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • 18–24 months’ HR experience, ideally within a law firm
  • CIPD qualification or currently working towards one would be advantageous
  • Experience using HR systems, preferably Workday or similar
  • Strong interest in developing a career in HR
