This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced learning and development leader with a strong track record of designing, delivering, and evaluating development initiatives within a global organisation. In this role, you will act as the strategic and operational lead for the L&D function at a leading global law firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the L&D team, ensuring alignment with the firm's overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee the Associate Leadership Programme, Essential Management Skills Programme, and other key initiatives.
- Offer executive coaching and mentorship to senior leaders and high-potential employees.
- Collaborate with Group Leaders/Training Partners, Knowledge Management, Human Resources, and Heads of Business Services to identify current and future training needs.
- Work with the Training Principal and Early Careers team to provide assistance on all aspects of the trainee cycle from induction to qualification.
- Oversee the global (central) L&D budget, including forecasting and monitoring monthly spend.
- Ensure compliance with the SRA’s CPD regulations relating to trainees, qualified solicitors, the Solicitors' Code of Conduct, and design the firm's internal CPD regime.
Skills & Requirements:
- Must have 10+ years of relevant experience, plus previous experience in a law firm.
- Extensive experience designing, delivering, and evaluating development activities at a global organisation.
- Proven programme management experience of a range of learning initiatives, especially at a senior level.
- In-depth understanding of SRA regulations relating to learning and development.
- Proven track record in strategic project management in a learning and development capacity.
- Accreditation to use personality profiling psychometric tools.
