Job Description
Training Contract Paralegal
Busy US law firm housed in a stunning city location, is looking to hire a new Paralegal to join the UK Corporate & Banking team on a 12-month FTC. This position would suit someone who already has a Training Contract secured in August 2026 or 2027. This role will be offering high-level work from day one, so candidates need to have strong education and work ethic and want to learn and develop prior to your TC starting.

In addition to having a Training Contract secured the firm is looking for paralegal applicants with the right attitude, aptitude and professionalism as with this being a high-level paralegal position the firm need the candidate to have the right levels of gravitas as you will have exposure to both internal and external key stakeholders plus will be getting involved in drafting and transactional work in addition to the general administrative paralegal duties.
Responsibilities of the Training Contract Paralegal:

- Draft, edit and maintain necessary checklists, organisational charts and spreadsheets
- Review and edit transaction documents for sense, consistency, cross reference accuracy, facts, calculations and typographical errors.
- Prepare, update, assemble and distribute transaction documents to clients and other counsels.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing corporate authorisations and other conditions precedent documentation.
- Assist with due diligence matters by reviewing VDRs and preparing Language Lists.
- Draft due diligence memorandum, call logs, fact back up charts and transfers circle ups
- Carry out various company registry searches and other factual research
- Prepare and maintain signing/closing checklists.
- Prepare closing sets and bound volumes.

- Excellent academic qualifications are essential.
- GDL and LPC or SQE 1 and 2 qualifications are essential.
