A top US law firm is looking to hire a new Part-Time Trademark Support Specialist to work in the Intellectual Property Department, this exciting new role will be working with the IP Partners.

Salary up to £70,000 FTE. Hybrid working - 2-3 days per week with the potential for up to 2 days a week from home. Hours 9.30-6pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing Watch Notices, flagging concerns and reporting to clients.
  • Reviewing and managing all trade mark and design deadlines including moving and clearing completed deadlines.
  • Reviewing dockets, adding diary entries and monthly/fortnightly reminders.
  • Responding to Dockets with updates and outcomes.
  • Liaising (telephone call or drafting emails) with clients on deadlines and obtaining instructions on their trade marks/designs including POA and notaries etc.
  • Liaising with foreign agents to obtain fee quotes, deadlines and documents required, and relaying client instructions.
  • Preparing Filing Sheets for trade marks and design matters including fee quotes and classes of goods and services.
  • Arranging Searches through SAEGIS or Corsearch and reporting results.
  • Providing clients with their Trade Mark Schedules.
  • Preparing IP Trackers for various clients and notifying them monthly on the updates.
  • Preparing and filing Trade Mark Applications, Renewals, Recordals (assignments, change/appointment of Rep etc).
Skills & Requirements:
  • Proven experience within the trademarks team of a recognized law firm.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in MS Office.
