A hugely successful UK law firm is looking to hire a new Senior Client Development Executive to join on a permanent basis to support the firm’s transactional practice groups (specifically Technology, Consumer and Sport) in London. The Senior Client Development Executive will help to initiate and execute a wide range of projects that involve marketing planning, industry and client targeting, pitches and proposals, directory submissions, events, and communications.

Senior Client Development Executive – What you will be doing:
- Support the Client Development Manager (CDM) in the implementation of the Technology, Consumer & Sport (TCS) sector strategy, helping to deliver the group’s strategic marketing, relationship development, and business planning objectives.
- Support the CDM on developing, reviewing, and updating business planning and budgeting materials, participating in meetings, producing notes, amending documents and following up on action points.
- Support the CDM maintain a clear overview of TCS priorities, upcoming activity, partner leads, agreed actions and progress against objectives, including preparing meeting materials, producing notes and following up on next steps.
- Keeping track of all the major case successes and developments, new clients and instructions, reporting back to the teams at regular team meetings and managing the matter collation process.
- Supporting the CDMs on the targeting and pipeline process by maintaining priority client and prospect lists, tracking relationship activity, coordinating follow-up and helping partners progress agreed opportunities.
- Lead on selected TCS relationship initiatives, including sector campaigns and follow-up actions designed to support growth across Technology, Consumer and Sport. Work closely with the TCS campaign leads and the CDM on delivering the TCS business plans.
- Collaborate with the wider Client Development team to identify cross-selling opportunities, growth areas and priority targets that support both the TCS sector plan and wider firm objectives.
- Act as the point person for CD budget tracking for the campaigns within the TCS sector focus group, working alongside our CDM to ensure that campaigns and the wider divisions are keeping to pre-agreed budgets.
Senior Client Development Executive – What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing/client development role.
- Law firm or other professional service experience.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Detailed-oriented project management capabilities and ability to prioritise multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and coordinate own work.
- Understanding of the marketing functions, needs and expectations of attorneys and clients.
- Proven ability to communicate successfully, both in writing and verbally, with attorneys and other business service professionals to build relationships and achieve results.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Interaction is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and organised.
- Good interpersonal skills; polite, professional, positive manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
