Leading City law firm is seeking a Practice Team Assistant to join their London office Corporate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright, hardworking, and reliable junior who is driven to pursue a career as a Legal PA at one of London’s most prestigious firms.
Salary to £29,500. Office based (Monday-Friday) 09:30-17:30 working hours. Gym membership contribution, and many more amazing employee benefits. Liverpool Street / City location.
In this role, you’ll be providing administrative support to Legal PAs, lawyers, and other business services teams, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to a variety of work to further build on your skillset.
Key Responsibilities of the Practice Team Assistant:
- Help with organising events or meeting logistics such as booking conference rooms, arranging refreshments, equipment, arranging dial-in details and VC set-up and making restaurant reservations for client lunches or dinners.
- Assist with travel bookings which may include single/return train/flight tickets, hotel and taxi bookings.
- Assist with quick turnaround document work that cannot be sent to the firm’s Document Production team.
- Print, photocopy and scan relevant documents as and when required.
- Assist with the preparation of Court/Counsel bundles, Deeds and fee earner working papers.
- File relevant documents in electronic or hard copy files.
- Assist with fee earner expense claims, cheque requisitions, and other banking related admin in a timely manner.
- Manage the entry of timesheets for partners (where relevant).
- Assist with the billing administration process.
Skills & Requirements of the Practice Team Assistant:
- School / College leaver with 5 GCSEs graded 9-4 (AC), including Maths & English.
- CILEX qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Good written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships.
