Forward-thinking Top 50 UK Law Firm is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Trainer for their London office. The most important aspect of this role will be the designing, managing and delivering comprehensive learning and development skills programmes to be rolled out across the firm.

Salary to £65,000 and strong benefits package. Generous hybrid working pattern of 50/50. Modern offices in the heart of the City.

The L&D Trainer will play a key role in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and performance of legal professionals and central teams across the firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented L&D professional with extensive training experience to take the next step in their career in an international law firm. Candidates must be prepared for high volumes of hands-on delivery and designing of training sessions.

Key Responsibilities of the L&D Trainer:

  • Collaborate with Head of L&D to implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with the firm's goals, identifying skills gaps and developing an innovative and engaging skills training programme tailored to the needs of employees.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their training needs.
  • Deliver high-quality skills training sessions, workshops, and seminars in-person and virtually.
  • Create and update training materials to form a library of resources to support ongoing learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external training providers, universities, and professional bodies to leverage external expertise and resources.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of career development frameworks, competency models, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and make necessary improvements.
  • Support Head of L&D in the monitoring and management of the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of training programs and resources.
  • Work with BD teams, Client Partners and Knowledge Lawyers to design and develop innovative and engaging skills training programmes tailored to the needs of our clients as part of our Key Client Programme.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practice to ensure training content remains current and relevant.

Key Skills & Experience of the L&D Trainer:

  • Proven experience as an L&D specialist with strong training skills, preferably within a law firm or professional services.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or CIPD professional qualifications desirable.
  • Experience in designing and delivering a variety of training methods, including e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job training.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other training software.
