Global law firm wish to hire a Business Development Executive to join their BD team, focusing on their key Shipping practice group, working with a leading team of UK and overseas Partners.
Salary to £40,000
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days working remotely
Standard hours 09:30-17:30 Liverpool St / City
Working closely with the Business Development Manager, this role would suit a graduate with around 12 months business development experience looking to gain more exposure. You will assist the team with business development and marketing activities to promote the firm’s profile in the Shipping sector and sub-sectors, developing client opportunities, key account relationships and help drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive include:
- Assist with the development and implementation of international business development and marketing plans, including activity and budget recommendations
- Supports/leads on the co-ordination and delivery of client-focused proposals in response to client RFPs, RFIs, bids and tenders, sometimes to tight deadlines
- Support Partners in the co-ordination and delivery of directory (Chambers and Legal 500) and awards submissions
- Ensure that internal systems (such as InterAction, Vuture, the firm’s Intranet, and Teams) are used to full effect
- Support on the delivery of marketing materials and activities for Shipping, including the creation and delivery of brochures, client/market research, website content, client bulletins/briefings, webinars/seminars, and conferences
- Support the planning and delivery of events, which may be outside of normal working hours (evening and breakfast and may be in support of our international offices, clients and contacts)
Requirements for the Business Development Executive include:
- Must have 1+ years’ experience in a business development role in a law firm, or professional service industry
- Some experience of the Shipping/Transport sector would be advantageous
- Experience of implementing successful business development and marketing communications activities, including events (and webinars), pitches, legal directory submission, and marketing collateral
- Strong IT skills including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, InterAction (or similar CRM database)
- Knowledge of campaign systems (Vuture) and content management/web publishing helpful
