Accountant / Finance Team Leader in London

Ready to take the lead in a dynamic, international finance environment at a leading US law firm? Our client is looking for an experienced Lead Accountant (Europe) to join its team and play a key role in delivering accurate, well-documented financial reporting, applying sound judgment across accounting and tax matters, and partnering with colleagues across the wider Finance function. \Salary to £80,000 (depending on experience)\n ~ 30 days annual leave + bank holidays \n ~ Prepare and review reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve reconciling items promptly \n Produce management reports, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting for the Director of Finance, Europe & Asia \n Support statutory accounts, tax returns, audits, and related deliverables, liaising with external advisers and auditors as required \n Monitor tax, VAT, and statutory compliance deadlines across European and international offices \n Maintain accurate, complete, and well-supported accounting records for selected international offices \n Review financial reporting controls and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance \n Keep up to date with relevant accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements affecting European operations \n Collaborate with Finance colleagues on accounting and tax matters across offices in Europe and Asia, including London, Dublin, Paris, Milan, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, and Singapore \n Support Pillar Two reporting and other tax compliance requirements \n Contribute to ad hoc Finance projects, including new office openings and other business initiatives \Qualified and experienced Accountant with strong financial accounting, controls, and reporting experience, ideally gained within a law firm \n Comfortable taking ownership of complex reconciliations, statutory accounts, and tax deliverables \n Sound judgement and the ability to make informed decisions on complex accounting and tax matters \
