Our prestigious US law firm is seeking a highly motivated Competitive Intelligence Analyst to support business development initiatives by delivering actionable market and competitive intelligence. This role involves transforming complex information into clear, compelling reports that drive firm strategy and inform key business development decision-making.
Salary to £65,000
Hybrid working – 4 days in the office / 1 day remote
City / Liverpool Street location

Key Responsibilities- Research, compile, organize and analyse internal and external intelligence on key clients and prospects as well as industry and market trends, competitors, and industries.
- Provide advice to team on improving efficiencies and innovative methods for greater success in gathering and analysing intelligence, including generative AI.
- Work with the Client Development team to provide background research related to various targeting and business development initiatives.
- Create mechanisms to track information regarding key clients and prospects as well as broader markets to alert lawyers and BD about events and opportunities.
- Provide research support, as needed, for client events/seminars, newsletters, client alerts, internal communications, sponsorships, cross-selling initiatives, internal experience and data management.
- 4-6 years of experience serving in a similar research, analytical, or business development role, ideally within a law firm environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; in particular, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Power BI and other data visualization tools experience would be highly advantageous.
- Experience navigating and utilizing databases and research tools.
- Knowledge / experience with Capital IQ, Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg Law, PitchBook, Reorg Research, Debtwire, Mergermarket, FactSet, LexisNexis, Westlaw, Lexis Newsdesk, Pirical, SEC filings, InterAction, Foundation a plus.
