AML Compliance Assistant
\nInnovative US law firm who works with market leading global clients within emerging industries, is seeking a new AML Compliance Assistant on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for fulfilling AML requirements and carrying out necessary processes for London and other offices.

AML Compliance Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
\n- \n
- Performing due diligence on clients, counterparties and third-party payors through research and liaising with fee earners, secretaries and the finance team. \n
- Performing Politically Exposed Person, adverse press and sanctions searches using a variety of research tools. \n
- Summarising results of research and drafting and circulating client risk assessments and matter risk assessments. \n
- Updating Firm software and databases with relevant information to ensure accuracy and consistency. \n
- Identifying and escalating red flags and higher risk matters as set out in Firm policy. \n
- Performing ongoing monitoring on completed AML files and periodic checks on personal identification documentation obtained as necessary. \n
- Assisting with the development and presentation of training for lawyers and business services staff. \n
- Assisting with updates to practice wide risk assessments and policies as required. \n
AML Compliance Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
\n- \n
- 1+ year of experience working in an AML and / or sanctions compliance environment within a global law firm. \n
- Knowledge of AML legislation and guidance. \n
- Experience of performing diligence checks (including research and risk assessments) on entities and individuals. \n
