This outstanding US law firm is looking to hire a new Billing Assistant to join their London Finance team. This is an ideal opportunity for a Billing Assistant / Accounts Assistant with 12 months’ legal experience from an Accounts department, ideally within Billing who is looking to take their career to the next level.
Billing Assistant Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the checking, printing, eprinting, and distribution of monthly proformas to lawyers and Partners
- Producing draft invoices, finalising invoices and credit notes, ensuring bills are prepared in accordance with client agreements
- Assist senior billing staff to validate new matter data and setups
- Maintaining updated billing information in database
- Assist the Billing team, and other members of the finance team as appropriate, in the preparation of information and other reports for the regular finance and WIP meetings. Attendance may be required at these meetings on an ad hoc basis
- Ensuring WIP notes are reviewed and updated if/when needed
- Generate scheduled time and billing reports and other client reports on demand. Upload electronic invoices upon request and ensure processing is accurate and efficient. This also includes working with the eBilling team to successfully submit and monitor the approval status of all electronic invoices
- Minimum 12 months current legal billing experience
- Highly numerate
- Some knowledge and awareness of VAT and SAR
- Confident Excel user
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Team player with first class interpersonal communication skills
