Our teams are putting the world’s retailers online using the cloud, robotics, AI, and IoT. We provide services to partner clients globally via our innovative advanced robotics technology, known as the Ocado Smart Platform (“OSP”), this drives our highly automated, multi-million pound Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs). In our CFCs – together with the proprietary software applications – we operate a world‑class online grocery business that automates the single pick of products, ready for your online delivery.
About the role
The Programme Manager holds the responsibility of orchestrating the end‑to‑end delivery of the OSP to Ocado Group’s clients, accountable for the programme management of multiple large‑scale integrated CapEx and technology projects. This position encompasses core programme management, client relationship management, team leadership and handover to live operations (client and Ocado).
What you will do
- Leadership of a client or geographical project management team with both direct and indirect reports
- Delivery of OSP programmes within budget, on schedule and to required specification
- Write and deliver board papers to gain sign off for investment business cases
- Track, maintain and challenge progress of multiple projects against Ocado’s project methodology
- Review detailed CFC solution designs in conjunction with the CFC Design Team
- Work with the Ocado Solutions and Technology Teams to ensure timely delivery of OSP software functionality for client solutions
- Resolution of risks and issues within the project with regular reporting and escalation when required
- Ensure clients successfully go live through preparation of OSP, client business and operational readiness
- Accountable for continuous development of Ocado programme and project process and methodology

- Managing the client relationship across the end to end programme delivery alongside the Ocado Solutions Partnership Manager
- Liaising and driving relationships with multiple external stakeholders and suppliers

- Flexibility to travel and work away from base location for sometimes extended periods of time
