We are an established and growing technology business based in Blackpool, Lancashire, offering a full-time, permanent hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. We provide a salary of 40,000-50,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with 28 days holiday including bank holidays, free on-site parking, a Cycle to Work Scheme, a Tech Scheme, company social events, and a collaborative and supportive working environment. Requirements
- Commercial experience developing applications with PHP
- Good knowledge of Laravel and/or Symfony
- Strong experience working with MySQL
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and/or Alpine.js / Vue.js
- Experience using Git and modern development practices
- A methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving
- An understanding of writing clean, maintainable and reliable code
- Experience working with large datasets, analytics platforms, APIs or data-heavy applications would be highly advantageous
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining web applications using PHP 8, Laravel and/or Symfony
- Working with MySQL and large, complex datasets
- Designing and developing new features and functionality
- Building intuitive and engaging interfaces using HTML, CSS, Tailwind and JavaScript
- Working with JavaScript technologies such as Alpine.js and Vue.js
- Integrating APIs and working with a variety of data sources
- Troubleshooting, debugging and resolving technical and data-related issues
- Improving application performance, reliability and scalability
- Working with Git and modern development workflows
