About Lapland
LaplandUK is based on two Original Stories Written by Mike & Alison Battle \βThe Untold Story of Father Christmas\β & \βThe Secrets of the Christmas Elves\β.
LaplandUK is an immersive, theatrical experience based on an original adaptation, centred around a childβs fleeting belief in Father Christmas. Putting families at the centre of the storyline, the 4/4.5-hour experience allows families to explore an ancient Elven civilisation through a magical world of storytelling that fuses the spectacle of a filmset with the performance of theatre.
Role Overview
The FC Runner co-ordinates Father Christmas, ensuring he is in the right place at the right time. A key operational role, the FC Runner will ensure that Father Christmas has everything he needs to deliver a truly magical and memorable experience for guests. The role is also responsible for assisting the Magic Elf\βs when working with Father Christmas.
This is a multi-faceted role, which requires a strong ability to meet the demands of people management, whilst protecting the guest experience and delivering an efficient and effective operation.
FC Runners ensure every guest has an experience they will never forget, for all the right reasons. They are essential to the event operations & FC Control, ensuring that the experience operates smoothly. Guest-obsessed, they make sure that feedback is properly collected, communicated and actioned. An inspiring people leader, they coach, lead and motivate their team to deliver world-class standards of service.
FC Runner will work closely with FC Duty Manager & the FC Controllers via radio, confident in ensuring Magic Elf\βs and Father Christmas are at the correct location at the correct time whilst dealing with radio communications is key to succeeding in this role.
Experience:
- Minimum one year experience working in live entertainment, event operations and/or visitor attraction operations.
- Strong working knowledge of best Health and Safety practices.
- Experience co-ordinating cast members within a guest-facing operation.
- Knowledge of Act 4 and Lapland operations is a benefit although not essential

Key Dates:
- PAID TRAINING: Your training plan will vary depending on your role. Training will take place on select dates between the end of October 2025 and the beginning of November 2025.
- LIVE EVENT: In 2025 Lapland Manchester will run from Sunday 9th November β Wednesday 24th December.
- Hourly pay of Β£13.50 per hour, plus holiday pay paid at the end of contract
