Company Overview
We are most famous for our award-winning event, buried deep in the Crown Estate near Ascot. 17 years ago, Mike & Alison Battle created the event out of their own desire to take their children somewhere that would celebrate the pure, commercially unsullied, magic of Christmas. Now, with the help of Hollywood set-designers, West-End actors and more than a sprinkling of magic, the event is keeping the magic of Christmas alive for thousands of children every year. LaplandUK celebrates and honours the values, imagination and wonderment of childhood through our magical world, rich storytelling and immersive memory making experiences. This is an exciting period of growth for us, as we look for new ways to bring the Lapland experience to a global audience through media, publishing, live shows and eCommerce channels.
Passion for the Mission.
We are in service to belief. We understand the importance of what we do and its legacy.
One Company.
We only succeed together. We are a positive and caring group of people who embrace developing Lapland and ourselves.
Role Overview
As a member of the greens team, on either the Manchester or Ascot site, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation of floristry and greens in the different sets across the immersive events site, under the direction of the greens lead. Your team will be working from dressing plans to create scenes within the different performance areas. We are looking for people who enjoy working in a team, in a fast-paced environment. We will be adhering to strict deadlines and meeting the demands of the installation schedules to keep up the momentum of the build and break phases. All the work will be held to a high standard across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Unbox, transport and carefully handle greenery and associated installation materials.
- Install, position and embed greenery accurately, following the direction of the Greens Lead and established plans and designs.
- Work efficiently as part of the wider installation team across different areas of the event.
- Keep materials, equipment and work areas clean, organised and tidy.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Follow instructions accurately and consistently.
- Work efficiently and meet agreed deadlines.
- Respond positively and flexibly to changing priorities as the build progresses.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the Greens Lead, Greens Supervisor and wider production team.
- Work collaboratively and respectfully with all teams across the site, upholding company values at all times.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and site procedures.
Role Requirements
We are looking for experienced, hands-on people from the greenery, floristry and creative production industries who are confident working as part of an installation team. The Greens Lead will oversee the installation and provide clear direction to the team. You will not be expected to design or style any of the greens. This role requires someone who:
- Has a strong eye for detail and excellent visual awareness.
- Takes pride in the presentation, finish and overall quality of their work.
- Understands the importance of working within an established creative vision and can take direction well.
- Is highly practical and enjoys working with their hands.
- Handles greenery, materials and finished installations with care and consideration.
- Can follow instructions accurately and consistently.
- Has a reliable, professional and proactive approach.
- Works quickly, efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment.
- Is comfortable working to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards under pressure.
- Can adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities during a live event build.
- Communicates clearly and works collaboratively as part of a wider team.
- Is physically capable of the demands of a busy installation period, including being on their feet for extended periods and moving materials safely.
We are particularly interested in people with professional experience in greenery, floristry, event installation, theatre, set dressing, visual merchandising, styling or production. Candidates should be those who are looking to continue developing their skills and experience within the industry, and who understand the pace, discipline and attention to detail required to deliver a large-scale live event. This is an opportunity to be part of the build of a large-scale immersive event and gain hands-on experience within a professional creative production environment. For those looking to develop a career in greenery, floristry, set dressing, events or creative production, it is a chance to gain valuable experience on a major live show event build, work alongside an experienced Greens Lead and develop your skills working as part of a professional production team.

Free hot meal per day on site
Free coffee, tea and soft drinks
Pay Rate: Β£240 Per Day including box and travel
