About This Opportunity
University of Southampton is offering a PhD to develop piezoelectric nano-opto-electro-mechanical resonators for low-power neuromorphic and reservoir computing.
The project uses MEMS/NEMS and optical displacement readout to create nonlinear physical reservoir-computing devices. It includes resonator design, cleanroom prototyping and optimisation of piezoelectric conversion, nonlinearity and memory capacity.
