Modelling Soil Dewatering and Recharge for Climate-Resilient Infrastructure
University of Southampton · Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences
England, United Kingdom
30 September 2026; exact cutoff time was not stated on the FindAPhD project page.
About This Opportunity
University of Southampton is offering a PhD on modelling soil dewatering, recharge and seasonal moisture management for cost-effective climate-resilient infrastructure.
The project develops mathematical models of water abstraction and injection in partially saturated soils. It studies air entry, pore-scale wetting, preferential flow, plant effects and engineered mitigation of shrink–swell cycles affecting geotechnical infrastructure.
