If you are looking for an environment where you will be able to quickly learn and develop your skill set, with career progression opportunities, we have a fantastic opening for a legal support assistant to join our Family Department in our spacious, open plan office in Shrewsbury.
We are a progressive and forward thinking firm and your role will be to provide high level support enabling lawyers to operate at optimum efficiency. You will prepare initial appointment communications to clients, use DocuSign for electronic signatures when required and assist with efficient billing. You’ll also assist with court proceedings, which will include filing applications and documents with the court, as well as producing court bundles.
The post holder will be expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative, and they will need to maintain a highly professional, efficient, confidential and friendly approach, along with ensuring a quality service is always achieved. The role would suit someone who has worked in a busy, professional team orientated environment, and whilst previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, it is not a necessity for the right candidate.
You must be confident in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and have the ability to work across a range of IT platforms. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a busy environment, have a good telephone manner and communication skills. Organisational and time management skills are essential, along with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
