We are seeking a legal support services team leader to join our Leadership Team here at Lanyon Bowdler.

This role provides operational line management and leadership to the Legal Support Services Team, which consists of telephony, client services and legal administrative assistants. Legal Support Services is the central shared department, where all of the core legal administrative tasks are conducted for the firm. This team leader role is key to ensuring the accuracy and flow of all aspects of administration in line with KPIs, to specifically support lawyers across the firm, as well as assisting in the monitoring of performance targets and activity levels, taking appropriate action as required.

This role plays an important part in ensuring that the telephonists, front of house client services and legal administration team members provide an exceptional level of support to both clients and colleagues. This function includes the front of house reception and also overseeing the timely and accurate transcription of legal dictations, using speech recognition systems, for a range of departments. In addition, you will be checking the opening and processing of new files, relating to prospects, clients or other matters, and post registration completions.

The post holder is also responsible for overseeing and ensuring the input of data and storage of e-documentation into the practice/document management system, archiving closed matter files, and ensuring the use of third party practice management systems is actioned to the highest standards.
