As an Expert in Hazard Communication, the main task of the role is to ensure that all product safety information and documents are correctly maintained in the various systems. Adhering to all relevant product safety regulations for the specified Business units, the focus is on maintaining EHS data and the release of associated global SDS (excluding American regions) – at product level. All activities must be performed in multiple SAP systems and SharePoint sites. As a subject matter expert, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support product compliance.
Job Highlights
- Maintain data in SAP EHS to allow management of the creation of hazard communication documents for LANXESS products, including safety data sheets and hazard labels.
- Support Business Units, R&D and Customers to ensure data quality for regulatory purposes.
- Respond to internal and external customer questions as appropriate on hazard communication topics.
- Manage Regulatory Management of Change Process to ensure smooth interdepartmental transitioning of updates to hazard communication documents.
- Co-ordinate Exposure Scenario evaluation process (REACH Article 37(5)) to ensure site compliance with use conditions of Raw Materials.
- As subject matter expert for UK hazard communication, monitor changes in the UK legislation and communicate regularly to the wider PTSE organisation.
Experience / Skills
- Chemistry Related Degree.
- 3-5 years professional experience with 3 years in Global Hazard Communication and the associated regulations.
- Advanced training to allow the classification of chemicals.
- The ability to apply the regulations for different GHS regions to generate all data for sections 1-16 (excluding section 14).
- International experience.
- Expert user of SAP EHS and other standard IT tools.
- Familiarity with the LANXESS product portfolio.
