The Role

As Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation, cleanliness, and service. You will play a key leadership role, driving performance during busy service periods while maintaining a positive and professional kitchen culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen brigade.
  • Ensure exceptional food quality and consistency across every service.
  • Manage kitchen operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs to support their development.
  • Take ownership of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
