Location: Perth, Scotland (with travel across Scotland and occasional UK travel)

Line Management: 10 FTE

Lantra is seeking to appoint a dynamic and influential Scotland Director to lead its Scottish operations and shape the future of skills in the nature and land-based economy. Lantra is a leading awarding body in both the UK and the Republic of Ireland, developing quality training courses and nationally recognised qualifications that are delivered through a national network of accredited training Providers.

With dedicated resources in country, Lantra Scotland has forged strong links and identity with Scottish Government delivering programmes of work to assist in the delivery of Scottish Government Policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Lantra Scotland’s team
  • Build influential partnerships across government, industry and education, representing Lantra at senior policy and sector forums.
  • Own the Scotland P&L, delivering funded programmes, KPIs and financial targets, whilst identifying and developing new commercial and partnership opportunities to drive income growth.
  • Build closer links and working practices with Lantra UK, and contribute to its UK-wide strategy and leadership.

About You

We are looking for a leader who will inspire a dedicated team, bringing passion and guidance to maintain high levels of quality, standards, and delivery. The Scotland Director should be engaging, open, and excel in fostering and developing relationships. They will be:

  • A commercially astute and delivery-focused individual with strong senior-level influencing and stakeholder skills, confidence operating in complex, publicly funded environments, preferably with experience with government stakeholders.
  • A demonstrable leader, effective at building successful teams, able to inspire, motivate and communicate at all levels to provide united direction and cohesive strategic leadership.

Lantra provides products and services to a broad range of learners in the nature and land-based industries and has forged strong working relationships with key stakeholders in Scottish Government. Candidates with experience to these markets and government interactions will benefit greatly in the role.
