As we go through an exciting period of growth, we are now looking for a Head of Research and Insight to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader from a research background with both quantitative and qualitative expertise to join our influential organisation. You’ll have the platform to turn research into real-world impact, influencing our products and the industries that sit at the heart of food security, sustainability and rural economies. You’ll have the chance to operate at a strategic level, benefiting from options to work in the way that suits you and having input into the decisions that affect the future of land-based industries.
The Role: As our Head of Research and Insight, you will drive a bold new programme that strengthens our position as the go-to authority on skills and workforce intelligence in the land-based sector. Driving evidence-based insights, you will identify skills gaps and turn evidence into action through strong partnerships with employers, government and education providers. Your work will guide policy, shape new products and services, and support the growth and resilience of industries vital to food security, sustainability and rural economies.
Additionally, You Will:
- Develop and implement robust qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Demonstrate the impact of land-based industries through compelling evidence and case studies
- Communicate research findings to diverse audiences
While there is no current line management responsibility for this role, we anticipate at least one direct line report in the near future.
About You: To be considered as our Head of Research and Insight, you will need:
- Proven experience in leading research projects with both qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Experience managing research teams or external partners
- The ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Project management and leadership abilities
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- A genuine interest in land-based and environmental industries and a passion for making a difference
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle (due to our location)
