Fixed day shift pattern with 12-hour shifts, running from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Week 1

The working pattern is as follows:

• In: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
• Off: Thursday, Friday
• In: Saturday, Sunday

Week 2

Off: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

In: Thursday, Friday

What You\’ll Be Doing

As a Coldstore Operative, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our frozen bakery products are safely handled, stored, and dispatched – all while maintaining the highest food safety and stock accuracy standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Load/unload lorries with frozen goods in a food-safe, efficient manner
• Operate material handling equipment (MHE) safely within the -25°C coldstore
• Accurately book pallets into stock using AX ERP system
• Complete paperwork: loading records, shift reports, temperature logs
• Manage stock integrity, rotation, and traceability
• Act on non-conformances: damages, temperature deviations, incorrect specs
• Support internal teams (QA, NPD) with product movement and sample retrieval
• Contribute to a clean, safe and compliant warehouse environment
• Participate in stock takes and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential

What You\’ll Need

• Minimum 2 years\’ experience in a warehouse or logistics role
• Reach and counterbalance truck licence (in-date)
• Familiarity with warehouse systems (AX ERP desirable)
• Able to work in coldstore conditions (-25°C)
• Attention to detail and methodical approach
• Basic English and Maths – both spoken and written

Desirable

• Previous coldstore or temperature-controlled logistics experience
• Experience handling food products and working to GMP standards

Salary:

£15.43 base per hour
