We’re looking for a Commercial Controller to join our Commercial Finance team at Lantmännen Unibake UK. Partnering closely with Sales and Category teams, you’ll provide commercial insight and analysis to support customer and category growth, margin performance and informed decision‑making. This is a highly visible role for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys influencing stakeholders and turning data into action.
Key responsibilities- Act as a business partner to Sales and Category teams, supporting commercial plans and performance
- Provide value‑adding commercial finance analysis to support growth and margin improvement
- Support customer tenders and major commercial proposals
- Review category, pricing and margin performance, challenging and supporting improvement opportunities
- Deliver weekly and monthly sales reporting and post‑promotional analysis
- Support month‑end, forecasting, budgeting and 5‑year planning processes
- Track and control customer activity including rebates, discounts and campaign spend
- Maintain new business opportunity tracking and monitor SG&A spend
- Coach and support finance for non‑finance capability across the business
- Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience)
- Experience partnering with commercial, sales or category teams
- Strong understanding of commercial finance, margins, pricing and P&Ls
- Confident analyst with the ability to influence and present clearly
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and general IT skills
- Commercially curious, organised and comfortable working to deadlines
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (between 8am–6pm). Based in Milton Keynes, with travel to Bedford and Bagshot as required.
