We’re looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join the founding clinical team at Lanthorn, a new kind of private diagnostic clinic launching in central London. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role supporting consultant radiologists, doctors, and the wider clinical team across ultrasound diagnostics, interventional procedures, bloods, and preventative health services. You’ll play a vital role in creating a calm, professional, and genuinely excellent experience for every patient who walks through our doors. About Lanthorn
Lanthorn is a CQC-registered private medical clinic specialising in consultant-led diagnostics, including:
- Image-guided injections and biopsies
- Blood testing and preventative health screening
All diagnostics are performed and reported by consultant radiologists. Patients can self-refer, pay directly, and receive clear results without unnecessary delays. We’re building something different: clinically exceptional, advanced diagnostic approaches all in a bespoke clinic space.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Experience
- Welcome patients and support them through their visit from arrival to discharge
- Assist with completion of paperwork and consent forms
- Explain procedures clearly and offer reassurance to reduce anxiety
- Escort patients to and from waiting and clinical areas
- Monitor appointment flow and keep patients informed of any delays
Clinical Support
- Assist clinicians with patient preparation for ultrasound, injections, biopsies, and blood tests
- Take and record basic observations where required
- Cannulation and phlebotomy (if trained and competent)
- Assist with manual handling when needed
- Monitoring of patients post-procedure and reaffirm aftercare instructions.
Ultrasound & Diagnostic Support
- Prepare clinical rooms and equipment for a range of ultrasound examinations
- Clean and maintain equipment in line with infection prevention standards
- Support smooth patient flow and liaise with clinicians on scheduling
Preventative Health & Screening
- Support health screening pathways from booking to follow-up
- Prepare documentation and coordinate supporting appointments
- Ensure records are complete and accurate
Operational & Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support stock management, deliveries, and clinical supplies
- Assist with clinical audits and quality processes
- Maintain strict confidentiality of medical and personal data
- Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
