Lantana Capital is a Private Investment Office and Special Situations Advisory firm specialising in direct investments and tailored financial solutions. With a global reach across developed, emerging, and frontier markets (excluding the Far East), the company focuses on a diverse range of asset classes, including sovereign and corporate debt, high yield, stressed and distressed assets, and special situations. Key sectors of expertise include manufacturing, oil & gas, mining, aviation, shipping, agriculture, financial institutions, telecoms, and infrastructure. In addition, Lantana Capital provides advisory services in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, deal origination, structuring, placement, and corporate debt recovery and workouts.

This on-site, full-time Credit Trader role will be based in our London office. The Credit Trader will be responsible for executing and managing trades within global credit markets, specialising in corporate and sovereign bonds, high-yield instruments, stressed and distressed assets, and special situations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Market analysis
  • Active trading
  • Risk management
  • Identifying profitable opportunities in dynamic markets

The individual will work closely with the investment, structuring, and advisory teams to align trading strategies with overall investment goals. The role will be compensated on a profit-sharing basis, and a marginal capital contribution will be required to cover first loss.

Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in Credit Trading, with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
  • Strong proven existing trading relationships and a well-established network
  • Experience in and effective management of trade execution
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Bonds and high-yield instruments and their market dynamics
  • Solid understanding of distressed and special situations investments
  • Excellent analytical skills with a deep understanding of global credit markets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative on-site environment
  • Proven track record of managing risks and achieving trading profitability
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional certifications, such as CFA or equivalent, are considered advantageous
