We are seeking a commercially minded Internal Lawyer to support the business through the review, drafting, negotiation, and management of a wide range of commercial agreements. This role will play a key part in enabling business growth while protecting the company’s legal and commercial interests. The ideal candidate combines strong technical legal expertise with sound judgement, a practical approach to risk, and the ability to work closely with stakeholders across Professional Services (Planning, Design, Environmental and Engineering), procurement, finance, people, and operations.
If Successful, You Will:
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer contracts, supplier agreements, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, service agreements, licensing terms, and procurement documentation.
- Provide clear, practical, and risk‑based legal advice to internal stakeholders on contractual issues and commercial terms.
- Support consultants and procurement teams in contract negotiations to help close deals efficiently while protecting the company’s position.
- Identify legal, regulatory, financial, and operational risks in contracts and recommend commercially workable solutions.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, fallback positions, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve contract review workflows, approval processes, and governance.
- Help ensure contracts align with internal policies, legal requirements, and compliance obligations.
- Advise on key areas such as limitation of liability, indemnities, data protection, confidentiality, intellectual property, termination rights, service levels.
