Position Details

  • We are currently looking for a Yoruba Teacher for one of our clients in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
  • Course Type: General
  • Format: one-to-one
  • Total Hours: 30
  • Session length: two-hour
  • Location: Would prefer a public place in Glasgow, but can do home if necessary.
  • Student Level: Beginner
  • Student Age Group: 25-34
  • Schedule: once per week, (Thursday after 19:00. Any time on Sunday)
  • Start Date: 2026-06-18
  • Motivation: I am half Nigerian and would like to visit Nigeria and connect with my roots. I would like to be able to speak to my mother in her native tongue.

Ideal Candidate

  • Be a native Yoruba speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification
  • Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
  • Have a valid work permit/visa
  • Live within 20 miles of the specified location

Conditions

  • Schedule and location may be flexible based on availability
  • Hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
  • Freelance, part-time position
  • We are not able to sponsor visas
