Job Description:

A creative services company based in the Croydon area is looking for a native-level German-speaking Office Assistant to support the Office Manager and ensure the smooth running of daily operations. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support across the business. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining quality control of German-language materials.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and is looking to grow within a creative and collaborative team. You will be working from our Croydon office 5 days per week in the office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting visitors, suppliers, and couriers with professionalism and warmth
  • Managing incoming calls, emails, and post, and directing queries appropriately
  • Booking meeting rooms, arranging hospitality, and overseeing visitor security
  • Maintaining a tidy and welcoming reception area
  • Logging and escalating IT issues with external support providers
  • Taking ownership of daily office operations in the Office Manager’s absence
  • Monitoring health & safety compliance and tracking office spend
  • Managing stock of office and kitchen supplies, raising purchase orders, and reconciling invoices

German QC & advanced support:

  • Proofreading presentations, marketing materials, and contracts in German
  • Supporting contract review and negotiation with guidance from leadership
  • Assisting project teams with German-language research and client communications
  • Ensuring brand consistency and accuracy across all German-language outputs

Profile:

  • Native-level German, fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Previous experience in office coordination or administrative support
  • Exceptional time-management and multitasking abilities
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy, with advanced MS Office skills and confidence using new tools
