French speaking Sales, MICE & Events Manager

We are working with a leading global travel and hospitality group to recruit an Indirect Sales & Meetings & Events (M&E) Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales leader to take ownership of trade and MICE sales strategy, manage a talented team, and contribute directly to the company’s ambitious growth across the UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 8 sales professionals across trade and MICE channels.
  • Drive revenue and market growth through indirect sales (travel agencies, consortia, OTAs) and M&E partners.
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies and performance objectives.
  • Build strong long-term relationships with trade and MICE partners, negotiating commercials and ensuring profitable agreements.
  • Oversee MICE sales and event production, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal marketing, finance, and operations teams to achieve business goals.

About you

  • Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in trade/MICE sales, ideally within the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry.
  • Proven people management experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of e-distribution channels, OTAs, and digital integration tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required.

What’s on offer

  • £76,000 base salary + 20% bonus performance based
  • Generous travel benefits (annual value up to £30k).
  • Birthday off + half-day on Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve, in addition to the Bank Holidays
  • Flexible working: 2 days per week WFH + 1 week remote every 3 months.
  • 40% reimbursement of commuting costs.
