Are you an experienced accountant looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, multicultural environment? We are seeking a skilled German speaking accountant to join an international team based in London - Westminster (hybrid work). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate group of professionals in the conference and event industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and distributing weekly management reports
- Managing transactions in multiple currencies
- Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns, including German VAT compliance
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements
- Independently handling accruals, provisions, and prepayments
- Supporting intercompany month-end closings and annual financial statements (HGB)
- Assisting with budgeting, reforecasts, and ad-hoc financial analysis projects
About you:
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance
- Solid knowledge of general ledger and subledger systems
- Familiarity with German VAT regulations and intercompany processes
- Advanced Excel skills and eagerness to learn new systems
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with global teams
- Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure
