The Role
As a Face-to-Face Interpreter, you’ll play a crucial role in enabling communication between people who do not share the same language. You’ll interpret spoken or signed statements in settings such as healthcare, legal proceedings, local government, and more.
Responsibilities
- Interpreting conversations for individuals accessing public services (e.g. legal, health, and local authority services)
- Ensuring clarity and understanding after each statement or question
- Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Acting as a liaison between service users and service providers
